A Return to Faith, Music, and Purpose

By Psalmjrel Paulin - Founder of Infinite Studios

“It’s not just a studio, it is a Creative Sandbox.”

Most people think the barrier to entry for the next generation of talent is talent itself—but the real bottleneck is infrastructure. I’m building Infinite Studios to turn underutilised space into high-output creative hubs, making professional expression as accessible as a gym membership.

This is about my return trip to Faith and music. My first non-profit, being the middle child — and the coolest Gen-Z brand that helps younger people / version of Psalm. By Psalmjrel Paulin.

My life, as short as I can.

I grew up Christian, but my family stopped going when I was 12. Now turning 26 this month, and looking back at the journey—especially restarting my walk—it puts my mind right at the heart of what I currently wish to achieve. Not all the time, but in moments like this, I realise this is a good place to start.

Roots: Family, Migration, and Becoming

Thinking about it now, being an entrepreneur seemed to happen naturally, even going all the way back to my grandmother’s time. My family always had a business at some point, whether markets, trade, or a provincial lifestyle in the southern Philippines where farm trade and community values shaped everything.

My parents migrated to the UK when I was 10, and by 15 I was already on reception helping my dad in his phone repair shop.

“From the slums of Manila, to Hong Kong, Dubai, then the UK.”

He was a smart man with a complicated past, and the older I get, the more I understand suffering, generational cycles, and how happiness and hope is still discovered with them.

My Mum — A Miracle and an Artist

I’d like to introduce my mother, a brain aneurysm survivor and a real-life angel. God’s hand was clear in her recovery, yet at that time I still didn’t have any interest in returning to faith or prayer, as that had faded when I stopped going to church at 12.

She recently picked up acrylic painting, with a style inspired by her childhood growing up from a place called “The City of Waterfalls.” She is currently exhibiting her work at the Tobacco Factory until May 10th, which feels like a beautiful full-circle moment for her.

Responsibility, Pressure, and Learning to Slow Down

Being a solo caretaker, navigating my mid-20s, breakups, and helping guide my 14-year-old brother closer to God is a lot at once. There were times I genuinely felt like I only had a short window of energy left for my businesses paired with the panic, but more recently I’ve learned to slow down and breathe.

I’ve started to align more with His light—how I speak to myself, how I treat others, and how I process what I’m going through.

“Despite my name being Psalm, it doesn’t automatically give me wisdom. I’m still learning, still growing, and rooted strong”

Faith, Identity, and Becoming Whole Again

I guess I’m mainly a writer, but not for blogs in the traditional sense. I love stories—Marvel, anime, poetry, myths, legends, magic, all of it. I wasn’t popular in school, but I moved between friend groups, and I’ve come to realise that was actually a strength rather than a weakness.

The conversations I’ve had in Spring so far have made me feel like I’m on a good path, even with “bigger than me” responsibilities still sitting alongside it. Hearing founder stories across industries, and realising we all struggle in different ways, has made me feel seen. Meeting Brad last summer showed me that doors open when you ask, and that stayed with me.

I was lonely at times, going through things far beyond my age, and even holding onto dreams that felt impossible—like retiring my mum somewhere peaceful with a view she deserves. Financial freedom is something everyone talks about now, and I hope I can contribute to that conversation by bringing in the voices of my generation.

Loneliness, Faith, and Hope

There were times I felt abandoned, especially during my parent’s divorce, while still carrying the identity of “the middle child.” The one thing that kept me going through all of that was my return to faith.

Learning from sermons, mentors, and worship slowly helped me reset my mind and rebuild myself. My favourite verse is Psalm 1:3, which says:

“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water… whose leaves do not wither.”

I’ve been praying that over my family, and over the people I care about, as a kind of grounding anchor.

No Degree, No Straight Path

Not just my story—I never went to university and don’t have degrees. My immigration status became complicated when I was 13, so student finance was never an option, and I applied twice without success.

Online e-commerce was my first business, and while it did okay, there was a deeper internal conflict with my partners so I’ve had to personally step away. I turned inward and started moving toward what felt more honest to me: music.

There’s Something I Haven’t Fully Explained Yet

There’s something I haven’t really explained properly yet, not because I’ve been avoiding it, but because I think it only makes sense once you understand everything I’ve shared so far. The family, migration, pressure, faith, identity, and those moments of feeling lost—all of it has been forming something in the background. So I want to come back to it now, not as an idea, but as something I’ve lived my way into.

My Big Idea — The Problem I Want to Solve

Example Recording studio

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to be a creator.

We are living in what I would call a Modern Createch Renaissance, where creativity, technology, and identity are all colliding at once.

On the surface it looks like opportunity has never been greater, with anyone able to upload music, film, art, and ideas instantly, but underneath that something else is happening.

A lot of artists feel stuck—not because they lack talent, but because the system around them quietly creates pressure, comparison, and distance from their own work. It becomes what I can only describe as an algorithmic cage, where visibility replaces depth and speed replaces meaning.

“The promise of digital creativity has become, for many, a quiet form of pressure instead of freedom.”

And I’ve felt that tension myself—between wanting to create freely, and feeling like everything has to perform immediately. That’s the problem I want to solve, not just for me, but for a generation of creators and future leaders trying to find their voice inside a system that moves and changes faster than their confidence.

Infinite Studios — The Modular Sandbox

The blueprint for the modular design

This is where my new business comes in, I called it Infinite Studios, an idea I’ve had the idea since my 2nd denial from SFE, (I wanted to study Music Production in 2022 in dBs you see) it’s not just a studio, it is a Creative Sandbox.

In short, we are building modular recording and content spaces using refurbished 20ft shipping containers, designed to be accessible, low-cost, and scalable.

These are not aiming to replace luxury environments, but they are well equipped entry points with a supportive community and Staff.

“Spaces where creativity is not gated by status or fear, but unlocked by access.”

That’s why pricing matters so much. We aim for £4/hour recording access, with free access for those in need (simply from the unbooked hours), because the biggest barrier I see isn’t talent—it’s permission, the feeling of “this isn’t for me.” The fear of spending too much just to start.

Experiencing this problem myself, I want to remove that completely. To give confidence to a person’s voice and story in personal or their business mission.

The Career Pipeline — From Idea to Stage

What I’m building is not just facilities, but a pathway. A journey from first recording, to content and storytelling, to developing identity and confidence, and eventually to Live performance / public facing opportunities. This is the Infinite Studios World.

The plan includes a pathway to live music.

It is not platform-first, it is people-first.

“Community over platform. Depth over frequency. Vision over trend.”

The Bigger Vision

Immigrant stories vary, but mine is not unique. Domestic instability, identity confusion, and lack of guidance are common in my generation. What helped me was writing, music, and understanding my own story.

My goal is simple: to make self-awareness, creativity, expression or inward literacy to be accessible—not a privilege. And eventually to use this ecosystem to connect artists / brands globally, including taking performances and stories into communities and parts of the Continents that rarely get access to them.

Who This Is For

For creators, this is a space where you are not watching the clock, where you can take risks and actually grow. Right now, it’s so hard for one’s Music to be seen, it’s expensive and too much work to take on by yourself. Posting content or a video online can sometimes barely get 10 likes…

This Sandbox helps anyone to sharpen the quality of their Audio and Video without paying so much for a result so little that their motivation gets crushed.

It’s similar to the technological boom, the more access people have it tends to expand in the right way. How can you sculpt artistic marble without the right tools…

How can you read without access to books. Growth comes from access, access to air, water, and an environment.

In the world of creativity we are that environment. This I believe is the light that was shone by God. I’m excited to see the natural stories that emerge from independent art when they realise they now have the keys to their creative kingdom.

Even more so in the age of AI! I personally have high hopes of co-existence that can amplify human comfort and each other’s creative experience.

Who knows how many people that have lost their passion in Music starts to pick up an old instrument again because there’s finally a space for it.

Even for brands, it is a pre-validation engine where culture, music, and their ideas are shaped authentically and Artists specifically are able to prove themselves within this community. Im also excited about the job opportunities and development of creative culture at scale.

And for investors and partners, it is a structural opportunity in the createch economy worth over £100bn+ in the UK alone, where the gap is not demand, but access and infrastructure – which is a common problem worldwide…

Is £4/hr sustainable?

Infinite Studios have always had the idea to be a membership model, £38/month for 8 hours of access. Development of the booking systems, Log In and Website is live as an MVP. More than that, Infinite Studios as a brand in my head looks cool on a T-Shirt.

Proverbs and Purpose

“Without vision, the people perish.” — Proverbs 29:18

This feels like a fitting verse to end my first blog with, and I hope the next one shows progress—not just ideas, but lived reality from a vision I have often prayed about.

Gratitude

Thank you to Nigel from Woodies who found me sitting alone at a service and introduced me to Brad then allowing me into Spring with open arms, hearing my ideas, and giving me space to grow.

Thank you to the Spring community for keeping me accountable and inspired in my return to faith.

“Togetherness reflects His Kingdom.”

Stay grateful, and remain a shining beacon that reflects God’s love, grace, and light. Thank you very much for reading.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or connect.

My mum’s paintings are also available—large canvases and prints. I’d love to hear what you think of her work.

Also, I wrote a thesis on the creative industry, AI, and independent human art elaborating more on what we’re trying to solve, give a read if you fancy (5minute read):

God bless always, Spring family.

Selah.
